Should one or more pieces of your baggage be damaged or missing after your arrival please immediately report this to the local Lufthansa baggage tracing or the local Lufthansa representative so that an official report can be filed. You will in turn receive a written confirmation with a document number that you should store safely.
If you notice a damage later at home or in the hotel report it within given legal period of seven days after your flight at the local town office responsible. In addition you have to bring proof that the damage occurred whilst in the care of the airline concerned. As soon as we have received your completed damage report we will send a written confirmation with a document number to you. About the progress in finding your lost baggage you may inform yourself through our baggage tracing. To use it you need your document number (see above).
Please check again whether the entries are correct, especially your name and address as well as the description of your baggage. Please report wrong entries immediately. The respective address you will receive online after the login to the baggage tracing.
